Our transition ceremonies honor each girl’s growth in confidence, scholarship, leadership, and sisterhood. As students move through high school, these milestones connect who they are becoming with the responsibility to support those who follow.
NINTH GRADE
Pinning Ceremony
The Leadership Pin marks her foundation year at FORWARD and her growing identity as an emerging leader. Reflection and the FORWARD Leadership Pledge connect the pin to her values, belonging, and commitment to sisterhood.
TENTH TO ELEVENTH GRADE
Purple Coat Ceremony
The Purple Coat marks her transition into leadership beyond the classroom. It represents readiness to explore careers, internships, mentorship, and meaningful opportunities to put her learning into action.
ELEVENTH TO TWELFTH GRADE
Ring Ceremony
The ring honors scholarship, resilience, leadership, and sisterhood as she enters her senior year. It symbolizes her responsibility to model the FORWARD values and help shape the legacy of her class.
SENIOR YEAR TO GRADUATION
Passing of the Torch
Graduating seniors pass the responsibility of leadership to the students who follow. This ceremony celebrates their contribution, welcomes their next chapter, and affirms a lasting connection to the FORWARD sisterhood.
